Terms and conditions of sales
 |
The following conditions apply to all ticket purchases made through
the Place des Arts box office or website. Anyone purchasing tickets
through the Place des Arts box office or its website is considered
to have read and freely accepted these conditions.
- Ticket prices are set by show producers. Service fees are
included in the price of each ticket. Taxes are extra. A handling
fee of $3.55 per order is added to the bill for tickets purchased
via telephone or online. There is no handling fee for tickets
purchased directly at the box office. For certain shows, the
producer charges management fees. When this is the case, these fees
are included in the ticket price. Until December 31, 2011, ticket
prices for certain shows include a royalty fee. Service fees vary
according to purchase method and ticket price.
Current service fees:
Direct purchase at the box office:

Handling fee for purchases made by telephone or online: $3.55 per
order
- A show’s producer may offer discounts on group tickets.
In this case, service fees are set at $4.50 per ticket and are
included in the price of each ticket.
- In the event a ticket is lost or forgotten, the box
office—after validating your information—can issue a
duplicate ticket. A fee of $2.00 per ticket order is
applicable.
A show producer may set a limit to the number of tickets that can
be sold to a single client. Orders for which the number of tickets
exceed the limit, and double orders using the same client name,
billing address, and credit card information may be cancelled
without notice at Place des Arts’ discretion.
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diner’s Club/En
Route credit cards are accepted. All orders are subject to approval
by the Place des Arts box office and the financial institutions
that issue the accepted cards.
- Clients must carefully review the name of the show, the date,
and the ticket category BEFORE proceeding with a purchase. Once an
order has been processed, there can be NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES, OR
CANCELLATIONS. Programming, casts, dates, and times of shows are
subject to change without notice.
In the case of a discrepancy between the information submitted
during a purchase and that received by the Place des Arts central
box office system or any other ticket reservation system, the
information received by the Place des Arts central box office
system will be deemed as accurate and will prevail.
If, in exceptional circumstances, tickets must be exchanged, a fee
of $2.75 per ticket will apply for tickets exchanged at the Place
des Arts box office. The fee is $3.75 when the exchange is made by
telephone.
- When purchasing tickets online, clients must complete all
fields on the reservation form. Credit cards are the only
acceptable method of payment for online sales. Your name and
address must be submitted exactly as they appear on your credit
card statement. Purchases using the name or address of a third
party will not be accepted.
- Show producers occasionally offer discounts or rebates on
certain ticket categories. These discounts and rebates may apply to
one or several purchase methods. They are generally valid only for
a limited time and do not apply to purchases made beyond the offer
period.
- Tickets can be picked up in various ways. Tickets purchased by
telephone or online are automatically delivered by mail, except if
the show takes place less than seven days after the reservation
date, or in the case of tickets sold at reduced prices. In these
cases, tickets must be picked up at the Place des Arts box office.
Only the person whose name appears on the credit card used for the
reservation can pick-up the tickets at the ticket counter. Upon
presentation of the credit card and a piece of identification,
tickets can be picked up 48 hours after the reservation has been
made. If a show takes place within a shorter time period, the
tickets will be available at the Place des Arts box office on the
date of the performance. Place des Arts does not use any courier
service. In the event that a show is cancelled, tickets will be
refunded at the point of purchase as determined by the
producer.
- Place des Arts will not be held responsible in the event that a
reservation or transaction cannot be completed due to a problem or
an error experienced by the computer system, the Internet, or any
other ticket reservation network.
- If the amount paid for a ticket is incorrect due to an error
occurring when the payment takes place, Place des Arts reserves the
right to cancel the ticket or the sale of the ticket and the amount
paid for said ticket. This clause applies whether the discrepancy
is due to human error, or to technical failure of the website or
any other system used by Place des Arts.
- The ticket is void following a sworn complaint of theft thereof
to the local police station. The ticket or the rights represented
hereby or arising wherefrom may not be assigned, sold or
transferred commercially or as part of a promotion, with or without
consideration, without the express prior written consent of the
issuer or the producer. Any falsification or resale of tickets is
prohibited.
Important Notices
Latecomers must wait for a pause in the performance
program before taking their seats.
Latecomers’ tickets cannot be exchanged or
refunded.

recorders is strictly prohibited during performances. Cellular
telephones and pagers must be turned off during
